So i realize i haven't posted in a long time. My boyfriend and i broke up in November and i haven't really been up for posting anything. but I have been posting on Blogger because I had to for class and i really am enjoying it. oh i've also been using Flickr. so I think I'm going to try and post stuff from there on here. and it's a lot of shit to post haha. I've actually been having a great past couple months which is odd because i got back together with robert over break and then he decided to be a fuckbag all over again and we broke up shortly after i came back to MCAD. I don't need him anymore which is a great feeling. sooo i probably shouldn't be posting about that on here but i thought i'd give a reason for my lack of posting haha. I'm enjoying MCAD a lot more now. i actually have a social life right now which for the longest time was pretty non existent haha. oh i wrote an artists statement for class yesterday and a resume and i really enjoyed it. so once i tweak them up a bit i'm going to post them. I'm going to one of my best friends prom next week. I never went to any of mine so it should be interesting. His name is Jamie and he's pretty much amazing! He lives in Nebraska. Today was the last day of classes So I'm going to start posting the older stuff from my blogger.

Where is the farthest you have ever been away from home? Did you get homesick?

The farthest i've been from home was Florida. I did get a little homesick. Now living in Minneapolis though i'm much more homesick than then haha.

so i'm rather bored i should be studying for this big ass test i have tuesday but i don't want to. so i've been doodling and listening to music. so here's one of my doodles....i love to draw my own type. and i love this chain stuff or that's what i think it looks like. the words are from a song called hallelujah by paramore. i wish time flew like a dove. i want to fast forward like 5-10 years so i don't have to go through all this college stuff and to see if me and robert are still together. ugh. so much on my mind.. anyways. i have a shitty scanner so deal with the shitiness of the scan haha..

so i can't decide what i want my page to look like and as i'm browsing through the choices at 5:38 in the morning i notice it's alot of the same choices as livejournal only vox doesn't try to rip you off by making you upgrade your account to use certain ones. fantastic. so many choices! 

well my critique for my Poe piece in my illustration class went well today which is great. i've never really had much confidence in my work so it's really nice to have positive feedback. well a few weeks ago we had to create an illustration for an article about organic or eco-friendly clothing. my project went well i am really happy with it. i did a collage of recycled paper to promote the idea of eco-friendly.

Well I am new to VOX i thought it would be a nice place to start up a new blog and show some of my work i'm doing at at MCAD. it's quite early 7:38 i have yet to go to sleep because i've been working on an illustration for my illustration class. We had to illustrate someone off this list of people and i chose to do Edgar Allan Poe. I really enjoy his poem the Raven. Also i recently saw the simpsons tree house of horror version of it and it was very amusing. i have the link below you should check it out. so here's what i ended up with it's just a quick sketch that i monkeyed with in photoshop quickly just so i had it done for class haha. the text in the picture is part of the poem. i will try and update as much as i can but school is so busy.
